Job Description

Our clients, a well-established family-run business based to the West of Salisbury, are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.  The role ideally will be full time, but there is potential for it to be part time if necessary for the right candidate.


The current incumbent will be retiring at the end of the year and so we are keen to get someone in place by September in order for there to be a suitable handover period.

Role responsibilities will include:

  • bank reconciliation
  • bought ledger input
  • weekly wages
  • raising the sales invoices
  • stock reconciliation
  • management accounts
  • foreign payments dollar and euro purchases
  • preparation of annual audit
  • salaries
  • statements
  • handling of special terms accounts
  • VAT and HMRC plus Nest


Due to the rural location candidates must have their own transport.
