Job Description

Our client is a well established firm of Solicitors with offices in Salisbury.  As part of their medium/long-term succession planning, an opportunity has arisen in their Salisbury office for a Solicitor with commercial and residential property experience. 

The position would suit someone with at least 5-7 years’ property experience, with an interest in business development and the ability to work on a self-sufficient basis.  

Whilst the main focus will be on commercial property work, you will also be required to undertake some conveyancing (most likely the more complex matter) and also to supervise/train other conveyancers.  You will also have the opportunity to learn how to deal with Church property and land transactions.

There will be genuine partnership prospects for the right candidate.

Role Requirements

  • 5-7+ years’ PQE either as a Solicitor or Legal Executive. 
  • Unqualified practising certificate.
  • A following of clients or referrers would be ideal.
  • A desire to promote yourself and the firm in the local area.
  • Previous experience of business development is essential as you will be responsible for helping to build up the department and generate additional work. 
  • You will need computer literate and self-supporting as there will only be limited shared secretarial support.
