Job Description

Our client, based on the outskirts of Salisbury, are looking to recruit an experienced, Security Cleared Project Manager initially on a 6 month fixed term contract.


Job role

In this role you will be required to organise, direct and manage a variety of diverse company projects (building construction, engineering process, IT upgrades) from conception to delivery, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with the requirements of the company.

You will be working with sponsors to outline project requirements, including the management of contractors and external expertise and their involvement in scoping the projects.  You will also be the single point of contact for the day to day management of the project.

Ensuring the management of the project so that resources are focused on the critical path, including the preparation and management of CAPEX and change control board submissions.


Qualifications & Certifications

You will need to be educated to degree level in a Project Management, Engineering or Construction related subject and hold MAPM, PRINCE 2 or an equivalent.  You will also need to be Security Cleared and hold a valid driving licence.


Skills and Experience

  • Significant and demonstrable experience of managing large scale projects
  • Experience of project budgets and financing
  • Knowledge of earned value techniques
  • Excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Project)
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Experience of Construction Design and Management Regulations


In addition to these core skills, experience of Continuous Improvement Programmes and IOSH Managing Safely would be beneficial.
