On behalf of one of our clients we are looking to recruit a part time Bookkeeper/ Administrator to join a charity in the Centre of Salisbury.

Summary of main duties

  • act as the Charity’s bookkeeper
  • prepare and distribute papers for five Governors’ meetings a year
  • process grant applications
  • deal with enquiries
  • prepare standard letters
  • maintain files and databases

Approximately 15% of the post holders time will be spent on bookkeeping.  An independent examination of the accounts is carried out each year and accounts are maintained electronically, mainly on Excel spreadsheets.

The successful candidate will have proficiency and experience in bookkeeping; and in Microsoft Word and Excel. Administrative support will be given to the Governors of the charity.

The working hours for the successful candidate will be 9.00am – 1.00pm Monday to Wednesday (12 hours a week) with a salary of £6,630.
