On behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Salisbury we are recruiting an IT Manager to join a dynamic team.

Main Responsibilities

Ensuring the company’s IT systems integrity and availability, in accordance with company IT policies and objectives. Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data. Makes sure the IT policy meets professional standards and adheres to Cyber Essentials guidelines.

Scope

Reporting directly to the CFO, responsible for leading the delivery, maintenance and ongoing management of the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.

Qualifications/Experience

  • IT network administration qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven working experience as a hands on IT manager or relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Expertise in data management and Cyber Essentials
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installations
  • Cleared to MOD SC level

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults across multiple site
  • Monitor and manage information technology and computer systems
  • Managing local backup procedures and the security of backup data and media, including business continuity of electronic data systems
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Manage access control, alarm system and VOIP based phone system
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions
  • Audit systems and maintain asset list
  • Provide day to day user support, documentation and management reports
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • Administration of user access and accounts
  • Configuring and commissioning PC hardware and software
  • Business continuity of electronic data systems, site access control system, site alarm system, site VOIP-based phone system.
  • Occasional out of hours support
